What a tough industry to be in. I had a feeling this would happen, but not this soon! Napster really did turn the music industry upside down and they refuse to adapt with the times....

Heh, and thats just a patent troll lawsuit. Wait til the big labels etc. start suing them for everything under the sun. The music business in the US is completely broken. And the government keeps aiding and abetting instead of fixing it.

I have a bunch of music websites that were/are on the cusp of popularity, and I just stopped and started focusing on building up some other sites for awhile. There's stuff I'd really like to do but I can't/won't because of the crushing licensing you are forced to deal with, even if you are dealing directly with artists and indie labels, you have to buy all these grouped umbrella licenses anyway, otherwise they put the burden of proof on you not them. Its legalized racketeering. I mean heck, its stupid enough that they put 50 cent's own website on that major label blacklist that came out a month or so ago.
