    Lets say i want to make a sports related site, lets say its a NBA related site, do i need NBA written consent even if im not using pics or vids, id be only using statistics and speaking of NBA basketball in general.

    should be fine, reviewing is fair use. If you commentate on something, its fair use too.

    You can put not affiliated with the NBA or something like that at the bottom

    You should be fine.. Just don't use their logo.. you can make one to look like it but not the same exact one..

    Don't worry about it, unless you start straight stealing content from nba.com or something you will be fine.
    Make sure you advertise the fact you aren't affiliated with them, and put you are a fan page or something.

    No, you do not need any written consent, but to be fair, you should avoid using their logo.
