I'm looking for a script to organzie sports forums by number or posts.


The way i want the script to work is that sports forum owners would come to my website and register there forum on my list. So the script would organze all the sports forum from 1 - 1000
Number 1 being the forum that has the most posts
Number 1000 being the forum with the least posts.


The forum owner would have to install a script on his forum. So everyday my website would update the number of posts his sports forum has. And it would re-rank it.


Somewhat like Aardvark Topsites Php


The problem with that script is it ranks the websites by traffic and not by number of posts the forum has.




Anyone heard about this? Or know of any script?

Why would forum owners install your script ?
is there any benefit for them .

earlier there was big-boards ,but don't know what happened to it .

You can scrape for forums using scrapebox & forum footprints & sports keyword...
.... then scrape the post count using scrapy etc periodically from them...
...if you are so adamant in creating a list of sports forum

Well it is mostly for the smaller sports forum. They would like to be known. Im not interested in the bigger sports forum.

That all seems to complicated. Im not a programmer. I guess i'll use aadvark script
