I've never paid for an ad/article before, and I know Matt Cutts is complaining about it, but it's mostly spammy sites.
I found a few news sites that have 60+DA that offer "sponsored articles". The article will say "sponsored article" on it. But I'm allowed to use anchor text and my link.
Should I have any concern with this type of ad? I'm creatinga money site that I want as clean as possible, don't want any reason to get penalized.

If that site is big enough then no problem if its general blog then it may be risky. But you better buy direct link from normal articles instead of sponsored articles.

There are many sites with DA60+ .
If site allows links in normal posts then pay a author to post article with your link. ("sponsored" not looks good to google spam team)

Yeah I'm starting to agree. Might be best to look elsewhere.

Hi there,

For our website we have been using sponsored articles that published on other websites. Traffic of these websites usually fall between 5ooK to 2000K per month and DA is also good. We have got consistent referral traffic from them that is between 2k to 15k per month.

This thing work good for us.

Google is not the internet and you won't be punished for this if you leave the links followed. They can be cunts, yes, but thr "guest posts" theyre really after are just content farms where its clearly just made for SEO. They are dreaming if they think were going to accept nofollow links on expensive authority sites since google is all about kissing big brand ass these days anyway.

You won't be penalized by the google. However the site from which you receive the links is supposed to be in danger than yours. But still it takes a lot of time.
