A competitor has a blog with 80 references on one page to their site. 28 of those are keyword repeats and hyper links in a small amount of text.

All the others are hyperlinks for keyword variants.

Surely this is a goddamn splog right?

yeah agreed, I would just ignore this sort of thing. He/she may get some short term boost but it certainly won't last as long as a properly structured backlinking plan.

they are ranking number 1 above everyone... the blog is on blogger...which is a pr 7 and they clearly have enabled the "do follow"

I reported the f**&* I suspect that either G or Blogger will note they are taking the piss.

Funny thing is - they are either very stupid to do this or very smart.. you have to know something about this to do that...

I cant find anything else obvious that has been done other than doorway pages... and some very bad references on article content.

This must have impact there is no other reason why they are ahead of everyone else.
