Split profits in blog team??

I've a blog team, about 4 people and we're writing in our tech niche blog and it's getting bigger.

We're making money from ads, amazon affiliate sales etc how can we split profits in a good and equitable/fair way?


Is there a solution? For example, an article I wrote got X hits and I get % of split profits? Is there a plugin for wordpress or program for this?


I'd like to find a solution, or I think it could be better to start a new tech blog and work alone or drive traffic from my blog team to a new blog, it's harder work but I keep the profits? Thanks for reading.

just simply divide the profit in 4 and make sure every one does the same amount of work done
 
So you want to screw your team?
Why don't you just split the profits equally?

That's why I need to find a solution.. we work in different places and hours, there is who write more and who write less, so we need to pay in %.
 
If you're working as a team it should be:

$Profit/4

If you want the profits from your own work for yourself you should either work alone or employ people to do writing for you and pay them.
 
You don't need a plugin haha, you just need to be fair
 
Just create a workplan and decide how many articels are you and your partners able to write per month (or per week). Then specify other requirments (like number of characters, topics, etc).
 
If you're the owner and if they don't know how much money is coming in, then I recommend you keep it that way.

Just give them a small percentage. You may end up having an all-out-war over money later on, which may end up destroying your entire website when they leave with your email list.
 
use unique identifiers for your ads in each article you write. for the ads that appear site-wide like homepage, categories, about us, etc. split that 4 ways...but for articles you write, have a unique amazon id plugged into the article...and if it's adsense, make ad units separate with everyone's initials. if your wordpress site allows you to make a unique page, or insert different sidebars, you can easily just paste that code in there every time you make a post, or just make a custom unique post page template that allows you to just click and boom your ads are already positioned for your article. that way you can see whose posts are performing the best...might be a bone-headed way though
 
Just divide it per article based on the number of words. If you get too much into the nitty gritties it can sour up things later.
 
Whoever wrote the article should get the money they make off it, and then split some off to the actual site owner.
 
I agree with TheNetworkBlast.... if you are the owner, gather that money yourself and pay them fairly... don't let them see the earnings...
Tracking each one's performance as someone suggest might also be a good way to incentivize your team... but again, keep the stats to yourself and keep some mistery! because if you let them see them they will start to think they can do it themselves and guess what? They jump ship with knowledge and probably assets, like the e-mail list..
 
what kind of question is that?, get a damn calculator divide the whole amount in 4 , the results will be the fair profits for everyone.
