split anchor text helpful

If I want to rank for a word like "tiger", would it be as useful to get backlinks with anchor text like "t i g e r" or, because google reads dashes like spaces: "t-i-g-e-r".

I mean, would it be as helpful as just the anchor text "tiger"?

I am asking because I am able to get a huge number high pr backlinks, but not exactly with the desired keyword.
