Spinning software war! TBS vs Spin Chimp vs Spinning Chief... FIGHT!

I read through this thread yesterday. I've never used spinning software before, but like many of you I am rather cheap (and a programmer). SC is free so I took a look at it yesterday. I tried reverse compiling it but the code was obfusticated. Even with a de-obfusticator, it was still pretty messy to navigate. Before giving up, I wrote an old school parser which I let run over night to parse out the default thesaurus. Then I figured I'd actually try actually running the program first to see what kind of quality it was (given the reviews on this thread). The documents it spun for me were pure garbage. Good lord, I hope the other spinners out there perform better. I have a pretty decent idea on how to 'spin out' the thesauruses from other spinners, but unfortunately I don't have any on my person since they're all Paid. Does anyone know of any *decent* thesaurus websites? I wanted to try to rip an online db to see if the quality was any better.

Of course if anyone has a ready made thesaurus, that too would be greatly appreciated ^_^

I tried TBS for a day and it's a fucking pile in comparison to SpinChimp. I don't quite understand people saying the UI is confusing, allow me to walk you through it...

1.) Write a sentence.
2.) Place the mouse cursor at the beginning of the sentence.
3.) Press tab... Then select which synonyms you'd like to use.

DERP.

If you know how to use Word, SpinChimp is similar.

Yeah Jericho, the support at spinchimp is very quick and comprehensive. Jon leger and TBS support basically don't give two shits, they've got so many IM programs/schemes out there that they really don't care much about TBS anymore.

Hahaha that made my day. Almost want to use that as a testimonial as well.

Cheers for the feedback Jericho and jb :)

SpinnerChief in my experience is way better then others. You'll just need to know how to set it up. The free version is awesome and it does everything that other paid spinners do.

Just had to register here to give my views on The Best Spinner.

Buggy as hell best describes this piece of junk!

It has gotten to the stage where every other action/feature that you use in TBS, either makes it crash or doesn't perform as intended.

Customer support is very slow, and you get palmed off with generic answers that never address your original problem.

John Ledger, the programme's owner/developer, also has issues with dealing with people, either on his IM blog or the TBS3 forum. Just check out his curt answers/replies for yourself.

I'm afraid John Ledger has too many Irons in the fire, so to speak, to concentrate on giving it his 100%.

I'll just ask for a refund, and try the other article spinners mentioned on this thread.

Keep on spinning y'all!

The problem is his api is everywhere. Until things like spinnerchimp get more mainstream support I feel stuck using his product's api/.

Havent read the thead yet but i got a refund this week on TBS when I realized it doesnt do one click spins any better than the chief.

Im happy once again with the chief free version.

Ranko you were right to get a refund because TBS does suck, but maybe you have expectations set too high. Currently, the best spinner out there by a long stretch is Spinchimp, but even with that you can't expect to click one button and have 100% correct, 90% spun articles. It just can't work like that. If you truly want to spin properly, you are going to have to roll up your sleeves and put in some massive, massive work on your own thesaurus. A spinning software is just that: a spinning software. It is a software that has all the functionality you might expect from a spinner. However, it is NOT a pre-prepared thesaurus. Sure, the softwares have their own thesaurus, but that's just to give you something to start. It's the people who go above and beyond the default configurations that are making the money, this is because G has purchased all BH tools and has reverse engineered them to counteract the spam pumped out by such tools - common sense would tell you that. BH is supposed to be a relatively automated approach to SEO, but that doesn't mean there is no manual work involved. I think the system is automated, but to build the system takes a hell of a lot of work, coding, harvesting, filtering, programming etc. If you think you can pay 40 bucks for a spinner and expect spins that are unique and correct to G out of the box, then everyone who tried IM would be rich. In reality, the failure rate is 95%+

Or you could save yourself a lot of time and just use Spinchimp. Chief and TBS are both full of bugs and the functionality is mostly crap. For the average user, probably either of them would be OK, but if you want everything, Chimp is the only way

Yes, I completely agree!!! There is absolutely NO COMPARISON TO SPINCHIMP!! Spinnerchief is soooooo buggy, slow, clunky, and on top of that....a TOTAL resource hog (check your Task Manger when you run it). I have actually used ALL the major spinners out there and nothing holds a flame to spinchimp. It really is the ultimate spinner. TBS comes in a distant 2nd. It's still buggy and will freeze up on you all the time, thus losing hours or work, unless you save a lot, but, when compared with SC, it's like a well oiled machine.

ANYONE who votes for SC is either mentally challenged or only voting for it because they own it and don't know any better. It's not even a close competition when comparing spinners to SpinChimp. It really isn't...............
