I'd like to know more details about SCE because I'm very interested in it for 3 reasons, in order of importance (to me):
1) It has an article scraper.
2) It looks like a great spinner.
3) It has many other features that seem are worthwhile.

I want to know if anyone who owns it here thinks the article scraper is any good? I've tried the trial and I've only been able to test the spinner, which seems to do it's job for the most part.
I'm saving up for that $177 one-time fee price tag plus I get updates for life.

Any input is appreciated, cheers!

I don't use the article scraper feature that often, but checked a few weeks ago and it was working just fine.. pulls plenty of content for you to spin to your heart's desire. I'm personally a big fan of SpinnerChief, it's a pretty comprehensive spinning suite and well worth the one time fee, IMO

The authors of SpinnerChief are members here on BHW and I believe they have
a listing in our Buy/Sell/Trade section. I am sure they would be glad to answer
any questions you may have.

Thanks for contributing.
How good is the content that it scrapes? And also the spinner, what you like about it?

There's an article scraper at http://texthat.com -- doesn't support SCE for spinning yet though, only TBS.
Is TextHat a reliable article scraper? Since it's free I figured maybe it's not that good..
Do you have any experience with SCE?

Thanks Wiz, I was just wondering if any owners here thought the scraper and spinner was worthwhile since I want to save up for it.

Well the content varies, it only pulls articles it finds, no more and no less. So if the original article was high quality, then the scrape will be HQ. If it was a crappy article, then it'll be low quality.

I find (or did find when I was scraping articles) more high quality articles than not, especially because it supports multiple sources. And it's easy to filter through the articles you don't want. I like the spinner because it does a decent job at identifying nouns, verbs, etc, and showing alternate text that is similar. It makes quick work of manually going through words and phrases and spinning high quality variants.

any idea where SpinnerChief pulls the scraped articles from?

I'm the developer behind TH, I would say yes it's reliable. I've never used SCE. The TH scraper pulls from a few different sources of high quality article directories. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. I keep it free because I plan on making money by promoting products on the site.
TH seems good but I don't really trust it as it's not that popular.
Perhaps I can see some users using it and let me know what they think but for now, I don't have the time to test the article scraper.. What article directories does it scrape from?

Thanks for this quick review. SCE sounds great and even if it wasn't better than TBS, it's still much cheaper and has more features (particurlarly the article scraper). Is there a manual spin option? I don't want to just do a one-click spin because that could take out quality..
Also, I've heard TBS is very easy to use because of it's interface. Can anyone say the same for SCE?

Sure, just looked for ya:

ArticleDashboard
Buzzle
eHow
Helium
TheFreeLibrary
Thanks for this list also.
Do you know if we can add article directories to that list if we so desired?

I'm sorry, sir but this really bothers me.. Is there a problem with hitting the thanks button?
Instead of increasing your post count with a post that says "Thanks" how about pressing the thanks button?

It scrapes from some of the more popular article directories. I'm working on adding more over the next few days. TH is new, I only released it about a month ago, but so far I've gotten pretty http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo-tools/470849-free-spintax-generator.html on it. If you're looking for mass scraping of articles though, TH isn't for you.

Yes there is manual spinning, and it's the only way to IMO. The one click spin usually generates rubbish, so manual spinning is much better.

No problem, glad I could help. And no, I don't believe you can add your own sources. The creator is pretty open to suggestions, so if it was suggested to him he may consider adding in platform-specific scraping options.

lol I agree with you there, but I didn't post it to up my thanks count. I did go out of my way to fire up SC and go find the list, but oh well, I give what I can without expecting to receive anything in return =)

So umm.. How about just telling me which article directories it scrapes from? What if I'm a noob at this and I don't know the popular article directories? :)

Manual spinning is the best way, I've seen the one click spins on the trial and blegh. Is it easy to manual spin? Sorry for asking so much questions, you seem to know a lot about it and I'm just a kid trying to find out what can help me and what can't. :P

and it just bothers me when people post "thanks" instead of hitting the thanks button. At least do both to show recognition.
Posting thanks = helping yourself
Giving thanks = helping others.

Yup manual spinning is a breeze, about as quick as manual can get. It lists the most popular synonyms (when using the cloud thesaurus) in order of popularity, and they are generally (but not always) in the best order. So you can just highlight the top few, and hit the next arrow (or TAB, which is quicker) to jump to the next keyword/phrase, highlight the top synonyms, hit next, and so on. Well laid out, and about as efficient as it can be IMO.

Wow, seems awesome.
I'll have to look at the features again to see if it's really worth my $177.

It's a decent tool. It's the most feature packed I've found but not the easiest to use or the cheapest. But definitley a contender.
