Spending $ on quality links with no SERP improvement?

Spent a good chunk of change buying high PR/DA blog posts on niche relevant sites in the last 2 months focusing on 1 keyword with next to no changes. Any input?

Also I should mention that I disavowd a bunch of spam links months ago and see my ranks drop from 8th to 85th then 3 weeks ago I went back to 35th and now I'm stuck around 60th. Keep in mind that this is a long term authority site that I am trying to build/rank here so I've been really trying to only buy relevant links.

that's the mistake: buying links. If you have the budget do this

1. Create yourself a nice PBN of 10-15 sites. A PBN of 15 pumpers is pretty powerful for low/med comp niches, generally.
2. Create 2.0s

If you don't have the budget:

1. Create 2.0s manually yourself.
2. Do email outreach and post legit guest articles on their site.

How is your diversity with the website? Have you been diversifying your anchors hopefully its not over optimized.

This post is almost useless. If you are actually asking for help, you have to provide the necessary information.

What is your on-page SEO like? Is it over-optimized?

What is your backlink profile like? You mention that you disavowed some spam links. What did you to get those spam links in the first place? How many high PR/DA links did you order? What is the anchor text profile? When you say you've been focused on 1 keyword, what does that mean? etc etc
