spending $1K for a mobile is stupidity?

I think it depends. If you're making ~5k/month you can buy it, depending how much you want juice you want.
I have an OPPO 4 Lite and I control my proxy business through it and for how much I make I could easily drop 1k for a new one, but it's not worth it for me

Thanks, also I think we should have a backup mobile, like last week my mobile didn't work anymore and I can't use it, I lost access to some of serious apps, like banking app, I was using my mother's mobile in this 7 days and today I fix my mobile. As we have to connect 24 hours with our clients, and we use mobile for it ( telegram, WhatsApp) I think a good mobile is necessary for us?

Yea, you can have a backup cheaper and a main one more expensive. As others mentioned, is up to you. Will affect you that $1k spent on a new phone?

for me if a phone can handle tasks i run and get my job done without problems then no need for a new upgrade, and 1000$ phones are for rich bcz there is phones for half price that can do the same --my op

It's a bit of a luxury. Don't expect it to work 4 times better than a $250 phone. That's what I've got, and it fully satisfies me.

I think the cost is irrelevant if you can afford it. The question is it necessary and does it bring value to you?
For most of the new phones you are getting both a smartphone and a great camera. So yeah, if you can answer yes to both the above questions, buy it.
