Spelling ?

Hi all,

Lately, I am experiencing comments on my blog that have wrong spellings and their URL is google, yahoo, or bing.

???

Anyone know what this could be?

Anyone getting the same results?

Play around with your comments settings... I usually turn off comments on my sites.

Email each and everyone of them and politely ask them to stop.

You can make settings about the comments so that no spam posting will be accepted.

It is installed automatically with wordpress, you just need to turn it on.

Not using wordpress...using drupal. but i think there is a setting.

Yes, I believe you can only enable or disable comments in drupal, but I don't recall seeing anything to hold comments for moderation. Akismet is no longer supported for drupal, so I would go with a module like this: http://drupal.org/project/antispam I've never used it but it looks promising.

Probably spammers. Forcing spelling errors so that they will not be blocked and you will think they are human.

Typically the spelling errors are on purpose and after they leave the comment they search via the misspelled word to find what sites allowed the comment to stick and then they build an auto approve list and spam the tar out of it.
