Special thanks to @Festinger.
My site loading time was 10 seconds. I added cloudflare, loading time went down to 4 seconds. And thanks to festinger I got wp-rocket and it's under 2 seconds now.
Awesome.
Seems like wp-rocket actually works and is awesome.

I'm an old happy member of @Festinger and I guess I will stay happy with him for a long time. lol

Speaking of speed optimization of Wordpress, I'm a fan of doing this all the time. Besides cloudflare and wp-rocket, there are still a few more things you could do. I'd love to chat about if you would need.

Yes, please. I'm curious.
My site went down to 1.7seconds loading time from 10 seconds so I can't complain (1.5s - 2s is average).
But getting it under 1 second... damn :)

I've got wp-rocket from yoiu and that's why i'm grateful.
I am not promoting anybody but just being grateful.

PS: just reading your threads, I managed to get down to 2 secs on avarage from 10 secs.
It's my "thank you".

What kind of webhosting are you now using? Server side optimization would be a great help too.

Regarding the screenshot: I guess there's already no so much more to complain with this page size, especially if the test server still have a certain distance to your server. Anyway, I'm sure there are still things to be improved under the Yslow part. My Wordpress+Woocommerce sites can normally achieve 98%+ with these both scores.

If you want, you may pm me with your server settings, wordpress plugins you've now activated and the screenshots of the details of Yslow. I'll see if I could share some more tips.

Just plain text more or less.
I can't improve much now.
I have no woo commorse, the speed is fine as yoiu've corretly mentioned.
plugins... yeah, I need to get rid of some.

took me some time to implement the defaults.
Myt first time ever so it took me over 2 hours. I had to change server permissions.

Yep, get rid of some plugins which you won't need regularly. Delete them instead of just deactivating. Then, some plugins are resource hungry, which could be replaced with other light weighted plugins. If you would include more pics in your posts or pages, do turn on lazyload, and better use image optimization plugins like Shortpixel. If you are using some securiy/WAF plugins, which used to slow down the website, you actually can replace them with a few firewall rules on cloudflare.

Server side optimization is important. If you are using shared hosting, you'd better go with a nice one. If you are using VPS, then you can do much more to optimize your website and speed.

One thing more, do try perfmatters. F's Vault has got this plugin as well. It helps you to do your best with the TTFB.

You said no Woocom, what kind of site is this? You don't have to be too specific but do you have "members only" sections or places where people login. or dynamic content?

If not, and your site is just a static HTML site, then you may wish to try, in CloudFlare, setting a site wide page rule to cache "Everything" (you might need to exclude the WP admin) and see if that helps.

You'll want to check that it doesn't break anything (ecom, comments maybe, dynamic content), but if your site is just a "website" then it might be worth giving this a try. At that point basically your entire site will be served from CloudFlare: images, js, HTML, everything. Just make sure things work.

I need to crush in and give a huge shoutout to @Festinger.

The vault, man the vault, it keeps surprising me every day, it makes me want to write a second vouch in the vault’s thread but I don’t want to spam it.

I’m searching the internet for some themes that will be suitable for my needs, once I see something good, I'm like, ”I wonder if the vault got this on?” and BAM, it's there.


Searching for a plugin that only the Devil's know why I need it, and I'm telling myself, ”no way the vault got this one...”, yet again, BAM, it's in the vault.

You can find the most random things in the vault and this is what makes it great.

The site is basically information site and uses ads.
I've tried before (with another website) and switched to "cache everything" option and saw absolutely no difference.

Fair enough. Might still be worth a try if this site is on a different host? But it's all good.
