    Hi guys
My scrape box is running fine but I was wondering if there's any way to speed it up? I have a vps with a good processor and a gig of ram. Would more ram help it. The vps had a 100mb connection.
Any ideas how to speed it up?

First thing is to check your up and down speed. Just because a host advertises 100mbps ports doesn't mean you're getting that speed. Until you know your true connection speed you're wasting your time checking other stuff. Use speedtest.net and see what you got.

More RAM definitely. As mentioned above about the connection speed, besides that you need fast proxies as well. And don't forget to increase the connection count in SB once you have these resources :p

Are you using private proxies and what speed you seeing there? <300 ms preferred. How many do you have? The more you have the more threads you can open up. With 80 / 50 you should be able to run 50 threads with a good number of good proxies.

Where are you seeing slowness? If you post some numbers we might be able to assist more or let you know if you're seeing what we're seeing.

    cheers for the replies.
I found a thread a few weeks ago when i first got scrapebox and did all the network tweaks etc.
Im using public proxies at the moment which i know is going to cause a fair bit of the slowness but i was just looking for tips and tricks to speed it up.
For instance, i have a list of 600,000 AA (or supposed to be) websites.
I posted to them and i am not running a link checker to see whats actually posted.
ive been running it for 48 hours and its only up to 500,000 and has only found 2000 links.

Is it something im doing wrong here?

dude, it depends on how much are you willing to spend on proxies. The more you have, the more threads you'll be able to run

I'm using 10 private proxies on 100 threads and that's working fine for me. I'm not blasting too huge lists though. That's why that decision must be also based on your work intensity.
If you're going to blast for eg. 500k-1M list a day or something, better go for more proxies, because that'll save you much time. But it's pointless getting 50 privates if you aren't actually using scrapebox that much.

It's hard to give you a straight answer. like I said, depends totally on your needs.

Why are you running proxies for link checker? Use proxies for scraping, posting, checking PR and stuff like that. No need to run proxies for link checking. All you're doing is reading a page and looking for your link. Save your proxy bandwidth and speed up your routine; turn proxies off when link checking.

Also you'll find you can do 6 100,000 lists faster than you can do one 600,000 list. Split your lists and toss out the shit. Hammering out 600,000 posts for 2,000 links is insanity defined. Run smaller lists and save the good posted entries. Run another list less than 100K and do the same, save good posted entries. Soon you'll have a dependable 50k list that shows confirmed 30,000 links posted practically every time you run it.

You're making this way to hard on yourself and burning bandwidth for nothing. Work with smaller lists and toss out the rubbish.
