Speed Require to control a VPS? 2mb/sec enough or not?

Hi, Those who have used VPS can tell me what is the recommended speed for controlling a VPS smoothly without any lag.
I can afford only 2mb/sec ADSL connection. Will that speed enough for controlling VPS smoothly.

My connection downlink speed 2mb/sec and uplink speed is 500kb/sec.
I think it does not require higher uplink speed so it would not create any problem but i don't know about my downloading speed.
Is 2mb/sec speed enough?

What is minimum speed should be?
What is recommended speed?
What is maximum speed after that user stop notifying increase in quality?

that should be enough. what you need to check is the latency of the connection of your computer to the vps as it is more important to have a lagless and stable connection.
