Hi,

I am not a native english speaker but my english is not so bad.
I find very difficult to train the Speech Recognition in Win7.

Can somebody please share their expereince , how to train Speech Recognition in Win7 effectively being a non native english speaker?

Thanks

Very hard. Speech recognition sucks as is, having a non-native speaker of English makes it even worse.

Is there any easy alternative for sppech recognition software?
I heard about Dragon naturally speaking but i am not sure how it works with non native english speaker.

Please advise.

I tried this as well will little success. You need to make sure first of all that you have a good quality microphone.

I second the suggestion to find a good quality microphone. One with noise canceling, so extraneous noises don't interfere with your training.

Honestly, I think it would still be worth it to take the time to muddle through the setup and training. It will take longer and probably be frustrating to make all the corrections, but once you get your speech recognition software humming along you'll be so much more productive (at least I am).

Just stay consistent while you're training it, keep at it and you'll get it running. Good luck!

It's really is much simpler to have an older PC under XP, with good ram and memory space, running Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 (see cracked version in the BHW download archive). Even with a cheapo microphone and basically no tweaking for your voice, it will do good speech recognition for you within a half hour upon installation.

But win7 is already installed .....
