Ok,
Here's a special 2008 idea for adsense.
There are about 200 days left until the Beijing Olympic games. During big events such as these people flock to the search engines scrambling for the latest juiciest info.
Here's what happened in 2004 at Athens.
As you can see while the olympics were on there was a huge influx of traffic which is where you can make a nice wad of cash from different ad networks such as adsense or adbrite by selling adspace.
At the moment advertisers on adwords are paying up to $1.50 for the keyword "beijing".
In a few months time this price should rise as traffic increases.
It's best to get in quick with these types of events so you have the first mover advantage when it comes to seo and rank. The sooner you build and optimize your site, the better chance you have of being on the front page of google when August comes around.
So, here's the quick start guide...
1) Find and buy a domain name related to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
2) Build a site (perhaps a blog) about the latest info on the event and keep it updated regularly. You could even use rss feeds from the official olympics website http://en.beijing2008.cn/.
3) Optimize you site and add adsense + any other networks you choose.
4) Wait for another 200 days and you'll be raking in the checks.
Anyway, this was just a quick post I though I'd do and I realise I've left lots of little details out but I'm sure most of you can work them out.
If not, feel free to ask some questions and I'll answer them when I can.
