Focus your time and energy to build YOUR links vs trying to ruin someone elses work and business.

Not works, google just ignores spammy links. It would be a war if something like that worked, don't you think? :)

Yes you are right. just taking idea

ok just when we create backlinks by paying some fiverr guy and google punishes baldy our website why do you think it wont work on competitor website? At the end of the day google algo looks at spammy links and can punish any site.

I am against doing this but just engaging with the topic

Google will identify you based on your activity and tank your site for foul play :smirk:

It won't affect their ranking as Google would already know they were maliciously created by jealous competitors like yourself.

Google has an advance algorithm that easily detects and disregards spam links that were created for the sole purpose of negative SEO

It doesn't work in the same way that it used to. As said above, don't focus your time into essentially cheating out your competitor. Focus on pushing your website further than theirs:

- Write better content than they have. Longer, more media (pictures, videos, etc).
- Analyze their on-site & offsite SEO and mimic their numbers/metrics & improve upon them.

Doing those two things along with general site upkeep should keep you more than busy. Good luck!
