I have 2 domains hosted in the same cpanel.

suppose the main domain is XYZ and the other domain PQR.

now since they are hosted in the shared cpanel, PQR also opens as a sub domain of the main domain.

now will the spammy activites of PQR will affect the ranking of XYZ ??? Will XYZ attract penalty?

I would say yes. especially if you can get to PQR with PQR.XYZ
And they both with have the same IP too.

No, the second website/domain will not be affected. G is no way to distinguish these two domains if they belong to the same cpanel or two different cpanels on a shared host. However maybe you should change the whois of your domains, so they look different or not add the two to the same G webmaster account...Someone said that G as a registrar can know these domains belong to the same owner, however I don't think so.

Even if your right about that, the ip will get blacklisted.

google can't identify domains hosted in same cpanel account
however if spamming is too high then google might blacklist the IP which will affect the ranking of all the domain hosted on same IP not just yours
