I see many spammers adding voluntary nofollow to their comments on do follow blogs .
the common thing between them is they include about 50 links in their comment (it sucks) and 90% of them are from china.
I just want to know is there any benefit of adding nofollow when mass spamming

seems like a waste of time to me. Maybe they think they will get trust rank rather than page rank but I can't imagine you will build up to much trust using that method

Iw seen this too, Also noticed most of the time the nofollow=" seems to be only text atleast when checking the comments

Is this on a Wordpress blog? I believe by default WP adds the nofollow tag to all links that are put in comments.

no , this is on do follow page, they can add do follow comments but they add the no follow attribute !

No, they are idiots. Unless they think that the nofollow will somehow allow their crap to slip past some sort of filter (it won't with any i've ever seen).

Maybe cuz they are chinese, So thir SE dont care about NoFollow backlinks, so its ok for them, Also they want to tell the blog admin we are a dont follow links so its ok to aprove it!

very interesting observation. I live in the Philippines. Here Yahoo rules. It could be the same with China. By the way. Yahoo counts both **************** and nofollow.

I also seen that even I'm getting every day more then 2000 Comment from that type most of from chaina

In the big B webmaster tools, backlinks section i have a lot of BL of blog with nofollow tag

In china they use Baidu... most people I met in China didn't use google
