I have a site that someones spammed some forum profiles at. Hasn't really seemed to damage it SEO wise other than a bit of dancing.

My issue is with one of these sites that shows up as one of the top backlinks in majestic/ahrefs.

Its not nice when the 2nd top link showing in the crawlers is rapeb***d.com.
Ive not gone there and i suggest you dont. It has a DR 42 and >150k results for site: thats as much as i want to see.

SEO wise I know i can diavow the links with google.

But what about ahrefs can you get them removed from there?

EDIT: This is for an offline business' website so its more rep management than SEO so maybe a mod could move it to the lounge? thanks.

I guess if you submit your website to ahrefs (create an account) you can disavow links over there aswell.

It isn't hurting rankings? Whats the trouble then? I doubt a rape site ranks for your site's name, other wise what would the issue be? Seems like a lame negative SEO attempt from 4 years ago.

Its not common, and it VERY rarely works. Its an old tactic.

No one shall even know shit about your backlinks, only some competitors, so your reputation is effected in no way.

Disavow but nothing will happen.

You could perhaps rank for rape keywords, but once google figures out that the site is irrelevant, you will drop off for those keywords. People see this increase in traffic as a good thing and then the drop off a "penalty," which makes them think this stuff works. But nope. You just dropped off for phrases that weren't related to the site.

I believe there is no such feature of disavowing links from Ahrefs. But why do you want to get them removed from Ahrefs? Disavow links using WMT, your ranking will improve. Use Ahrefs for finding low quality links and disavow them.
