You guys should really get a SPAM expert in to setup some rules, a Simple one would be not allowing phone numbers in the Title of the post..

Coming here in a morning is becoming pointless now, the front page is all I use sadly... unless im looking for something specific.

How the below example differs from all spams/useless posts around?

Correct, i also wonder why the mods didn't apply some filtration to disallow those annoying posts, i also use the homepage more often.

Kindly, Apply the following:

NO phone numbers in titles
NO multiple posting in short time
NO fast posts - like i made a post in 1-5 seconds or number of words are too short

and many more filters.

We are talking about more than hundreds of posts in the morning filling the homepage with nonsense repeated posts.

When you are opening threads without giving any solution to a problems or without a real question, does't differ from all SPAM posts.

And as a BlackHat member is supposed to know that what you are suggesting is not a solution as there are various ways to write a phone number. And in regards multi posting.. if someone want to spam the S out of it will use bots, proxies .. so NO multiple posting in short time is again... useless.

Look I have another suggestion, a new basic level subscription with posts permissions, and so only silver and gold members will be able to open threads ;) . That way you are limiting the nonsense / spam from free users ;).
 
@CyberHour My post was a lighthearted joke... I wasn't maliciously spamming the site for personal gains. There is a big difference. A lot of people appreciated my post since it was a one off and was funny to some.

I was only offering an example of a simple technique, which is why the thread was suggesting an expert in spam prevention, because I am not one.
 
If you guys can come up with these solutions so easily, then I imagine the admins have already thought of them as well.

A large part of the spam is stopped automatically and the rest gets removed pretty quickly once it’s been reported.

Answered (for the hundredth time).
