Spam blog?

I came across a blog will researching new keywords. When analyzing the site, all the articles are plagiarized from other blogs. Complete copy and paste job but it's ranking above its competitors. How in the world is this possible?

May it is ranking for this time but it will slapped by google definitely. Google don't have time to appreciate plagiarized content. on another possibility can be happen may that website uses some software like article buddy.

If it doesn't pass the Copyscape, it may now rank well, but it is more likely to be affected by Google.

I had this happening to me a while ago with one of my sites. The site automatically published the exact same post as I published on my website but since his website got indexed more frequently, he got the first index from Google and therefore ranked 1st.

That is certainly a fluke. These things happen. Google will notice it and knock it down a notch (or twenty) soon enough.
