I'm not spanish but I think what happened was a fairytale and just what soccer needed. The worlds most positive playing national side lifting the trophy. The final itself was very poor but it did have excitement. I personally think that the dutch was an embaresment to them selfes playing so destructively and they didn't deserve anything else than a runners up medal.
Now Spain can make a hattrick winning Wimbledon with Nadal winning the World Cup and if Alberto Contador is there again then the Tour de france will be theres as well. I vote Cadel Evans! My fiance' is Australian .
In all a great sports year for spain.

"Inesta Foreever"... to that music, and then he goes on to win the cup for Espana. wow.
On another note, the final was typically poor really, although we should also mention and acknowledge the match for 3rd place... a much better match... and this was due mainly to the fact that both germany and urgary were more relaxed, and played attacking football, just like it should be in Brazil in 2014.
The best overall team won through in the end though, so congratulations to Spain.

ah, the game not as good as expected..both team play too carefully, and the judge didn't perform well in second 45'. puyol deserved a yellow card. then the dutch play boyish, get mad at referee's decision. even though, both keeper did a great job. (how can they block the ball using their feet, in a flash)
honestly, i'm disappointed at dutch performance...
