Sourcing images?

I usually get my images from google and I try to source them as much as possible. Is this necessary? Can your account be closed for not sourcing someones image if it gets reported? I'm working in a small niche and the chances are pretty big that one of the owners might see their image. I've been adding @(their site name) under each image but I don't know if this is a good way of doing it.

I would rather put something like : 'All photos belong to their owners.' in the bio and not care about putting links in every picture

If you are running a medium sized website, you dont need to worry much.

Just mention in privacy policy or somewhere appropriate.

All the pictures posted here are the creation of owner. If any content found here are copyright material of yours, please contact me with the appropriate proof of copyright and I'll be happy to address such claims.

Your account may get banned if someone reports you for using other images without sourcing. If you are sourcing and even giving credit than you are good to go.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm going to add that to my instagram bio and once I get the site up I'll add what Axcer mentioned into my privacy.

When you start off with the account its not that big of a risk. But when it gets bigger, more people will notice it and report it if youre not sourcing the images. Direct linking properly to their account in the caption of every image is therefore recommended if you dont want to risk getting banned.

In my noobie days, I stole pics from an unpopular instagram profile and after a week or so, it got banned.

I found out by looking at the original instagram profile and he/she asked their followers to report my account, lol.

Why don't you just pick Istock photos to avoid copyright infringement?

I usually use Pixabay and never have to worry about copyright images. It has a huge database of public domain photos which i believe could help you.
