Sources to promote Affiliate products?

Hi Guys,

What sources do you use to promote your affiliate products?

Do you use adwords or do you use sources like Adbrite or Tribal Fusion?

In your opinion what knda traffic source has generated more conversion for your products?

Adbrite has horrible conversions. Adwords is expensive and unless you are very experienced then you will most likely more money than you make.

I use adwords sometimes to test a niche but most of my traffic comes from organic search engine rankings. Learn seo and your life will be much easier.

It might be good to master at least 2 paid traffic/marketing methods (adwords/ppc, ezine advertising) AND 2 free traffic/marketing methods (e.g. seo, article marketing, social network marketing).

Of course, there is really no such thing as 100% free....you will pay for traffic, either paying with money, or with your time.

The question about which method or source works best for an affiliate product may not be meaningful because it also depends on several other factors i.e. your copywriting skills, your ability to market using ppc, your ability to market using articles, your ability and willingness to use paid marketing resources/services.

I think you can learn a lot of the basics of seo from books and even websites that talk about seo. The fundamentals such as using keywords in your webpages, title tags, meta tags etc. are pretty common for the search engines.

You can also look at the top 6 or 8 search results in google, for the niche and keywords you'd like to be involved in. You then look at their websites and source code of their webpages and see whether you can learn some stuff about their seo techniques.
