SOS: How not get ghosted on craigslist???

Hi everybody! I would really appreciate if somebody help a newbie here. All my posts in the past week are ghosted on CL; have NO IDEA what I am doing wrong... New PRIVATE proxy for each account opened; new e-mail address; new password; verified by phone (using my friends' phones so far); html encoded posts; different pix and headings.... Anybody had a problem with being ghosted all the time? Any ideas? I am clueless what else to improve....

Wow - usually there are some straightforward answers, but it sounds like you covered a lot of the basics. Try breaking up certain words that might prompt CL to flag (free, sex, etc) with non-printable characters, like 'asterisk s h y semicolon' (it's a 'soft hyphen). Any characters I display here are going to be processed, so I have to spell it out. PM me if you have any questions or if the above is not clear.

Yup. It sure does sound like you covered all the basics.

HOWEVER, you might not have done them correctly. For example, how do you know the PRIVATE proxies you got are not re-used by another user who got blocked by CL before? I dont know where you got your PRIVATE proxies from, but you can start narrowing down each factor and slowly identify the issues.

Craigslist is quite tricky. If everyone covers up the basics and then able to post so easily, then we wouldnt be scratching our heads all the time now, would we?

The proxies SweSun got is from a seller at Craigslist here, and they are brand new and never used. That's my partner, so I know what's going on. Seems like CL has gotten way smarter and lots of PVA makers are scratching their heads and planningn on a conference call to try to find answers. We are both puzzled and frustrated right now and CL is stopping us dead in our tracks.

To be frank, its impossible to tell if the PROXIES that were sold to you are brand new or not. Well of course, the seller would claim them as brand new right? I dont blame anyone for advertising in this fashion as he, himself, might not know as well, as it is up to the provider.

Now, regardless if the PROXIES are brand new or not, as long as they arent working on CL, then its useless. I dont want to get you off track, in fact, I dont know if its the PROXIES thats causing the issues, but there is a huge possibility that it is, based from my experience.

If you dont have the motivation or time to catch up with Craigslist frequent updates, then maybe the Craigslist game isnt for you. Alternatively, you can hire a poster or consultant to resolve these issues for you.

To some people, time is money. And for some people, overcoming challenges and issues are what they love to do.

That is a million dollar question. Everybody's got their own theory these days. Might be the quality of your proxies. Or maybe the whole class of your ip is blocked.

Try matching proxies to the city you are posting to. I had a ghosting problem until I did that. If the proxies you are using do not match the city your are posting your ad to, your listing will likely not appear.

I found this true in Jobs, gigs and personals. It seems this is a new obstacle by the ever elusive Craigs bot.

Its not the proxies. The proxies come off a new C block, and they aren't even active until the seller puts them into rotation. Proxies are definitely not the problem here. Check the CL thread, as there is a big discussion there on what's going on.

Had the same "theory" in mind as itrader . gonna try that today - we'll see what's up... another thing now thou -w PVAs got un-PVA-ted.... overnight. sucks. but makes it more interesting to work it out.
