sorry, but this is driving me nuts- laptop cd issue :(

What programm do you use to burn the DVD?
do you wanna burn as mp3 or tracks?

DVD-R RW > (you can write on them more times.)

Thanks for the replies, it reads blank dvd's just fine.

Its just when I try to burn a blank CD-R it says "plz insert a blank one" even though there is a blank one in it already.
Some CD burning software wont even open, it says failed to load drivers"
other will let me set up the files, but when I click burn, the CD drive pops open and I get the error to insert a blank one, they are brand new blanks.

I just dont know if it can burn CD-R or not, it can read ones that are already burnt though.

perhaps it can read dvd and cd but only burn dvd?

or am I missing a driver?

I cant seem to figure that part out.

Plus as you can tell from the link, the specs brag about the DVD but never says a thing about the CD.
