Sorry but cannot figure out where I can read messages.

In the profile overview, it says I have 6 messages...a new one came in minutes ago, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out where or what I do to read them.

I'm pretty sure that I was in the area for messages at one point. It said no messages, although at the very same time, the profile box on the left of the screen said 5 messages.

I'm not being lazy, but could someone tell me where I find the 'read messages' button please.

I guess you are confusing messages with posts ?

Kind of confusing.. on the left profile box, it still says: Messages:6 but when I click the inbox there are zero.. I expected to maybe see old messages. Ah well.

And, it was an alert I had missed.

I'll just ignore the message number for now and keep an eye on inbox and alerts.

The "messages" in your stats is referring to the number of "posts" and "threads" you have on the forum in sections that count, not how many "conversations" you have. Conversations are private messages between you and another member.
