Somewhat new here. HELP!

Hello everyone,
I am somewhat new here. Have been on an off on the site and read a bunch of different things, and like many things, I cannot for the life of me figure out where to start. I understand the concepts, but I just cant seem to know where to begin. Does anyone have any input on where I should start, or what option would be best. I really just need some guidance or path that can get me started.

Well here it how is it. If you are planing on doing this long term, start something that you will enjoy, for example if you are planing on starting a site, start something that you will enjoy working on, like sports, models, cars etc. If you are looking for a way of making some cash (no matter what) search for the fastest way of making cash and do that.
I would suggest you start with social networks, since they are the easiest things to work with, and I'm sure you already use instagram or facebook. SO search for a way on how to make money with social profiles and start with that :)

You join 2011 and start asking where to start just now, where have you been...?
 
Man, buy a 99cent domain from godaddy, buy their hosting so you dont have to propagate NS, and then build a website (there are many tutorials online and on here).
-Search build "wordpress website on godaddy on google".
Once it's done, submit it to CPA networks, Amazon Affiliates, eBay, Adsense, Clickbank, etc.
- Get a Paypal/Skrill/Stripe account.

I have been reading mostly and working full time, going to school and becoming certified in a few techologies. I will say that i rarely visited the site but I am more motivated to get into other options of income. hence, I finally posted on the site. I know it seems weird but I was a very busy person and am just now experiencing free time to do more research.
 
I was actually just looking into flipping domain names. Since there are big changes around the corner for my state, I was looking into creating domain names that new businesses or people would buy. However, what you are talking about is exactly something I would be interested in. Do you know what startup costs look like for something like that.

$1 domain (if not $11 for the domain) through Godaddy, $10 hosting, and the CPA accounts are free. So, $11-$21.
 
All you have to do is search around as the other users already said and experiment different methods..The best thing to you is buy a .99$ domain and get some free hosting (like 000webhost) and start from there :)

I was looking into starting a webpage possibly as I have some background in web design but content of that site is where I am at a loss. Also, is it legal to create domain names with a states name in it? I have some great ideas for domain names but the most lucrative ones would more than likely have my states name in them.

Yeah, for the most part. I sold a domain to a lawyer that had the city state and state abbreviation in it. We never really spoke of the legality, but I'm sure he'd have brought it up.
