    Hi,

Today something very strange happened to my website. For the past few hours I have received multiple hits (one hit almost every minute) for 1 keyword from bing.com Image search. The hits are from various IPs and locations in US. This keyword is nothing commercial and there's no trend about it at the moment. As the time on site for these visitors is very short (around 2 seconds). I think this is from a bot. But how can they have all different IPs and is there any harm in this? I just don't understand and do not feel good about anything not natural. Pls help! Thanks a lot!

Sounds like Scrapebox or Xrumer. All depends if it is a blog or forum :) Update your Captcha if you want to keep them out

Very often I get huge spikes of traffic from bing & yahoo, generally this happens when ABC news reports a story on the topic. It lasts a day or two generally & it's genuine traffic. I wouldn't be so quick assuming it's a bot.

First, search the keyword & see if your site is on the first page. If it's not, than it's most likely a bot/
