Let me start off by saying a little about my background. I have made roughly 350,000$ from internet marketing over the span of the past couple years, this adventure has gone from running various Mp3 Download websites, to CPA networks, and most recently to fully automating websites to gain revenue through bots sorting their traffic. However, I am looking to take a step back in time.

Are website for Streaming / Mp3 Downloads still viable?
I am looking to setup an entirely automated empire of Streaming Websites (Movies, Porn, Audio-books, I don't fucking know what else)

However as I was leaving these niches behind in the past I noticed that the earnings had seriously depleted from their former selves, 1,000,000 views being worth almost nothing in some cases.. I am wondering now if these methods can still be profitable with the large number of competition. Is it even worth it to begin battling the ranking monster for illegal websites? Something that is already so punishing, being even more punishing..

I have over 100 ideas for ways to monetize a website in one of these niches.. just don't know if they're worth the time investment still.

The thing is that people just don't prefer to download tracks these days. They're used to streaming both music & movies.

That's very true. Also, even if they prefer to have the tracks stored on their device, it's better to use a youtube -to-mp3 converter.
So maybe, OP, you can try something like this. :)

Unfortunately, I don't agree with this notion. I think that in the western world streaming is at an all time high obviously. However, new-song discovery is very difficult on Spotify for artist you maybe have never heard about, for this reason I think alot of blogs have the ability to grow substantially still. Maybe even in a setting where you didn't include download links at all, but was a simple tool for new-artist discovery.

I've tested this method before and it works nicely. However trying to rank for a keyword like this, is much harder than trying to rank for an entire portfolio of random singles. For example, if you rank for a major song even if it's only for a few days it could generate you millions of views and even retain some visitors as come-back viewers.

Not sure man, in my opinion, these sites and the niche as a whole will continue to die down as Netflix and Spotify continue their expansion.

Maybe you can target underdeveloped countries, but eh, it is not the business I would actively look to get into.

With this knowledge, and experience in these type of websites. Which niche could provide similar results on a America, Canada, United Kingdom based foundation that can't so simply be replaced? Even myself, I use streaming services because they're cheap, and extremely reliable with minimal intrusive elements.

I don't want to get into the adult marketing side of things because it's not something that I have passion in, even if I automated it.. I would feel yucky with such a website under my belt.

Niche? Idk, too many options to choose from. Research and see what interests you whether it is selling products, courses, or something else.

Returning to the download sites though.

Spent 5 mins on this research, so you would def find better info on it.

Even though Netflix and Spotify might be available in certain countries, the people in those countries might not have the culture of paying for content.

This quick research tells us that Asia Pacific countries is the best bet.

Hope this helps.

People are afraid of downloading stuff due to virus
Streaming is still viable if done well

This was actually incredibly helpful information in determining some stuff for me, and confirming that lesser revenue countries may be a more viable option for targeting if I decide to go about tackling this niche again.

This has been a huge issue over the past few years, as illegal sites have been published in terms of advertisements their advertisement quality has gone down, substancially. Which is why if I was to attempt this method again, I'd like to have my entire monetization method mocked up, and set to the side before I even launch the site, with XXX limitations in place before deployment.
