Something like autoblog but for a static HTML website

Is there a software that scraps rss and generates html pages from that?

I.E.
fetches rss articles
turns them into html pages (custom templates)
uploads via ftp and
updates sitemap?

And no, I don't want WProbot, Blogsense etc (wordpress), I prefer static websites.

Interesting question.

I know you said not wordpress, but why dont you want to use it? WP will do all you are asking and just make your blog/posts with .html extension.

too much trouble with WP - resource intensive, hard to backup, you need to update script all the time or they will be hacked etc etc
But mostly because you need vps/dedicated server for more than a few autoblogs

Have you tried to Google your question? I looked into this a while ago but it was over my non-tech brain. I gave up looking. If you find an easy way, I would love to see it.
