Something is definitely wrong with Scrapebox

I have tested over 10k fresh proxies from various sources and Scrapebox's proxy tester shows that almost all proxies are blocked or have timed out. Totally I got 20 working proxies and even them are going dead over time. What is wrong?? A while ago I got told to purchase proxies but I doubt I would get working proxies as Scrapebox is failing everything.

Has nothing to do with Scrapebox. Maybe your firewall, software or hardware firewall.

I haven't changed any of those lately, is there anything else I need to check? SB is useless without proxies.

private proxies for parsing? guys, it's not the right idea.. i've got a proxy-checker that works 24/7 and gives out 3+K list of alive proxies. SB says there are no more than 2K of good (respone time+anon) but it's quite ok for parsing purposes.
and blasting is not the right thing to do with proxies - it takes too much time

I think it is really unfair to all software creators when people make threads like this. It's completely misleading and gives the software a bad rep when it's the user that is the problem.

Instead of making threads like this, spending a few minutes searching here on BHW would have helped you solve your problem or at least point you in the right direction.

Also, public proxies are becoming more and more useless because too many people have hammered them to death.

Sure there are some places to get a good amount of free proxies for scraping etc, but it's becoming more rare to find sites that have a good amount of working free proxies.

If you want to take the free route, you need to take the time and build your own custom list of places where you find working proxies or else you will keep getting poor results.

With that said, paid proxies is the way to go if you want to get real results.

Sure Scrapebox was having problems but it is now fixed

Nope, something wrong with sb. Used to work better with proxies just two days ago. Now much more proxies pass SB test, but most of them don't work with google at all. Two days ago way less proxies passed its' test, but when they passed they worked.

Are you sure you have the latest update? It's working fine here.

Seems like you are using public proxies. Private proxies are not cheap so you can try shared proxies...

I really see no need for private proxies.

I scrape between 20-50 proxies per blast, you dont need more than that! who cares if they go bad you dont need to use them again. I never get privates. just scrape that many everytime and post quick.

than scrape that many again and repost to make sure you are posting the most you can. It works well for me, i usually only test 1-2000 proxies before i find 20-50 that help me.

The problem with public proxies is that the IPs get detected and blacklisted by Spamhaus which then forwards the results to Akismet. You basically make it easy for Akismet to detect your comments as spam.
