Something I have noted - Backlinks and using Joomla and Wordpress

I am not sure if anyone else has had this experience or if they have noticed this at all.
Prior to last week when I had an incident occur requiring me to rebuild my website, I had been using Joomla as my CMS of choice.
It hadn't been super successful to be honest and was having issues with SE friendly URLS etc + no one was backlinking and no real KW ranking.

I have changed now to wordpress and have rebuilt my old articles and submitted some new ones (including some CB focussed advert articles). I have noticed a dramatic increase in Natural Backlinks + Pingbacks from legit websites.
I thought that this was interesting (at least to me), that my WP site has been running less than a week and already is seeing results whereas my Joomla website ran for about a month and a half with no significant results.

Next thing to look at will be my KW ranking ( I am ranking #1 in all SE's for one of my KW and currently #12 for another), I am wondering if Joomla's occasionally complex setup can lead to a less SEO friendly website.

This is a good observation that you are getting output. The main thing in cms is the customization. If you can't get your desired outputs you can customize it further or you can just go for the new options like wordpress.

I dont believe this is the case at all, just a coincidence.

Every WP site can use a different theme and every theme is different. Most themes are crap and have poor markup, tons of errors, poor SEO.
Giving preference to any particular platform would be highly biased, including Blogger itself.

So I don't think this is true.

WordPress is always better than Joomla. its the best CMS. But your result is really confusing. cause WP will never give you natural links for free
so where do you get them ???? really interesting.
