This something I have been pulling off on Ebay for years....

I search google etc for half price sales, 50% off etc... then sign upto the online stores with these offers and check if you can specify an alternate delivery address. If you can all I do is copypasta the details from the online store add onto ebay and advertise the items as an unwanted unopened gift with reciept of purchase included and add say 25% to the cost so its still cheaper than retail and I get a nice fat proffit. OK When some one purchases the product on ebay all I do is goto the online store where it was on sale and specify the ebay purchasers address from paypal email as the alternate delivery address so you dont have to post a thing. Sometimes the store might call/email to check if it isnt a fraudulent transaction but rare. I normaly do this with high value goods TV's, Jewelry etc... very rarely get bad comments as the purchaser already believes it's new and unopened with a reciept as proof... have fun

Um is this not basically what most people do on eBay? Buy low, sell high.

So you've never been stuck with the items selling out before you get money from ebay buyer?

wouldn't it be better to get a legitamate dropshipper?

That takes the fun out of it. and limits you to certain items. its more of a game to search out sale items and profit from them. My question is people really buy this stuff?.. Every time I have ever bought from ebay, I had already searched out the price so I know how high to bid.

Thankfully a lot of people don't research prices. I used to do this with clearance items at stores. You end up having to pay shipping but it gives you more time to sell and if you don't get the price you want, I made sure to save the reciepts to just return it to the store which I think is easier than online returns.

Not bad. I made some money when Circuit City was going out of business. Bought the goods, rented a storage space and sold them on egay two months later. Certain items were 50% cheaper than the retail price.

I read in an eBay course that it is always best to buy the item for yourself first, so that you can see exactly what it is that you're selling, even if you do dropshipping it's best to buy the item for yourself first. What it said was that the item could be completely different from the picture.

This depends if you care about your customers and your reputation...

on the other end... you could end up sitting there with a bunch of product no one wants to buy..thats why everyone likes the drop shipping concept
