We see a lot of threads asking how can I make $5 a day, or $500 a week etc. More often than not these posters are advised to read and learn.
So, how many actually bother doing this?

How many of those who read actually bother putting into practice what they are reading?


You can read all the diet / weight loss books in the world, but unless you do something then you'll not lose weight.

Same applies in most walks of life, but especially IM. It's great downloading 100 courses and guides, reading 50 threads but you need to put into practice what you are reading.book-shelves BHW.jpg

Try one thing at once, test, retest and see if it works for you. Rome wasn't built in a day, so don't expect miracles overnight.
If after a couple of attempts at XXXX then maybe consider moving onto YYYYY and see if you can earn from that. You might have to move onto ZZZZZ but you will find that niche that will work for you.

When you are earning from your efforts, scale it up. Then you are able to look for a second method, so you don't have all your eggs in one basket, but don't take your eye off the ball with your main breadwinner.

I'd also advise to build for sustainability too. Black hat niches are ok but sooner or later you'll get wiped out and have to start again.

I see black hat ventures as investing in penny stocks and legit white hat ventures as spreading your money over government bonds ;-)
 
Just read and try and read and try. Read, try and repeat. And of course - twist. All methods need some twist.
 
You are right mate, I confess that i am that guy who search's, reads and looks for a lot of information and in the end does very little.
I have changed that attitude towards to some things, like for example learning web development.
I always wanted to learn it, but was putting it back for various of excuses like: This guide is no good, this guide is outdated, this guide does not have practice material and etc. But, finally i made a step and started to learn HTML from one of the sources and i am still in progress, i can't even describe how your attitude changes when you actually start practicing.
Long story short - Just knowing things without using them is kinda waste of your potential.
 
this sounds cliche, as this been repeated over and over again in this forum but this is the ultimate truth to find your success with methods / making money. There is no other way, unless you get incredibly lucky. And you shouldn't depend on luck to make things work.

The only thing you need to keep in mind, Do your homework everyday, be consistent.
 
You know what i love about this forum, even though i have only been here almost two months?

I came here when i reached rock bottom and i decided well, i found the confidence to just try. Now i have a few online projects on the go. They will take time but that is OK, as i am learning.

What i love is how many people don't. Don't read threads properly, don't test technique, don't wake up everyday and just do what needs to be done.

You know why i love it? Because i know if my current projects don't work out i will move onto another one. And any other project i want to try wont be over crowded because 99% of the people on here wont do the work required to make it a success.

Everyone wants it easy, quick and now but no is prepared to learn, implement and adapt. It is easy to see who the 1% is though.

I could not possibly agree with you more!
 
Is it just me, or is that bookcase irritating? Why place the books on their side when they fit nicely on their ends. I get it for the bigger ones but not for the rest, that is just messy people. Messy shelving = actually, probably a happier life, better than my OCD driven existence.

I just feel like it's a lot to take in! Not so easy on the eyes, lol. But a literary nut's dream! :)
