First of I must confess that I am a total noob, but testing and asking can never be wrong imho
This is what I did.
I searched up a 3 word long keyword and misspelled it on purpose, or I really didn't misspell it I just skipped the space between word one and two. I did this within brackets. So it said "wordword word"
This turned out to be around 1600 searches in google and with only 1,5 page of google links (14 I think it was).
I tried it without the brackets and it was something like 6600 searches and a whole lof of pages, 50+
So I figured I can actually get my page in there on the top ten (call me dumb
) the topic suited my blogg and some of my ads aswell.
So I wrote a small blogg post about the subject, naming it with the misspell in the meta title and keywords. Linked it do digg, twitter etc.
Now for my real question. I have admin access to an old wow guild page with a pr3 on the index so what I did was putting an anchor on that page with the misspelled keyword and some explanation to it like "anchortext, lets see how many that will misspell *keyword* it was 6600 searches yesterday, lets see how much *keyword* will rise in the next month.
Now in my mind this should works as google thinks that this pr3 page links to my page with that keyword and think that my page is the authority on the keyword?
Checking today, the pr3 page is ranked nr.1 with the brackets at 1600 searches and ranked nr.3 with 6600 searches. But my page is nowhere to be found
Now this is just a guess, but is this because google has not index my site yet? Or is there something that I have completly missed?
Thanks for reading and I hope someone can explain this to me
