Someone target BH niche (like game hack) on Google?

Hey guys, since some months I saw that it’s terrible difficult to get organic traffic in this niche also with 1 position on Google (not for US or English language). I saw that now on Google there is the AI assistance and other new things, maybe that’s the cause for the low traffic? Maybe people don’t trust this niches anymore? With some articles in 1 position on Google search last years I got many visitors, now really really low.
What happened with people?

Yeah, this is something many have noticed lately,even ranking #1 doesn’t guarantee traffic anymore in some BH niches. Google’s AI Overviews, aggressive filtering, and general distrust toward “game hack” topics are killing organic reach.
Some people try to reinforce their pages with behavioral signals: geo-targeted mobile clicks, soft scrolls, time-on-page events… The idea is to show Google that users still engage with the content. In that kind of niche, mobile IPs are still among the safest ways to generate those signals without triggering flags or sudden drops.
 
I've also noticed the same drop, so you're not alone. A significant portion of traffic is being captured by Google's AI answers (SGE) before users even click through. Additionally, users now perceive once-popular niches as saturated or untrustworthy. Ranking #1 is no longer the only goal; creatively controlling the SERP space is now more important. Time to change course or adapt.
 
Sooner or later Google AI going to start issuing warning to the users for such keywords. Better find other source of traffic.
 
Uh yeah I'm afraid Google's AI gemini will ruïn a lot of niche pages and other pages.

You might need to look at what keywords you're targeting. If you're targeting 'informational' queries (eg. 'x game hack') that can trigger AI overviews which are swallowing clicks. A keyword that looks more like a product or service (eg. 'x game hack download') is less likely to show AI answers. Test your keywords don't have AI overviews before attempting to target them.

Many « hack gaming niche » has AI answers, unfortunately
 
New Google AI features and reduced user trust are likely causing the sharp decline in organic traffic despite high search rankings.
 
Maybe the AI assistance in Google is changing things. People may be trusting different niches now. It is difficult to get organic traffic in certain niches these days. Maybe try new strategies to attract visitors.
 
Totally feel you AI snippets and “helpful” overlays are eating clicks these days. Even if you snag P1, the answer box or AI panel often steals your traffic. Trust hasn’t dropped on your niche it’s just buried under Google’s shiny new toys. My workaround? I’m doubling down on super-specific longtails and peppering in proprietary case studies so I don’t just echo the AI answer. Keeps me visible and gives users a real reason to click through.
 
So definitely the problem is with AI overview, I suppose
