Tell me what you think.. this is my new site.. Make sure you click on a product and hit the buy product button to test.

LINK REMOVED FOR NOW

You think the sidebar and google ad is in a good spot?
Color, look and feel?
Does it make you want to buy something?

Should i continue going in this direction or scrap it? i hate to do alot of work ... lol

PLEASE DON'T QUOTE ME BECAUSE I'M GOING TO DELETE THE URL ONCE I GET ENOUGH FEEDBACK

That red is pretty brutal on the eyes man... may wana try a few different bg colors ;) maybe a darker red...

Looks nice everything is where is should.

The site looks pretty good, a few suggestions:

- Logo looks low quality, which can devalue the site to visitors
- The background is really bright, maybe try breaking it up with a textured/pattern img background
- Maybe think about removing the WooThemes link in the footer

All-in-all its decent, good luck and hope to see you get some sales.

Yep I have to say the same thing as 420friendly... The red would be quite sore on my eyes if I was to browse the site for a while. You should try some softer colours, and you may want to analyse your target market a bit deeper as they could have a preference for particular colour schemes (in other words, they would be more attracted to sites that fitted colour schemes they like). Try looking at competitor sites and draw some inspiration from them...:)

the logo is a test logo, but i thought it looked good though for something that took me under 5 mins.. lol
It's something i done so i can visualize, but i will have a dozen logos to choose from when i'm ready to go live, but it's pretty near to what i want (size, color).

I Haven't began to work on the footer yet, but the WooThemes logo will be removed, but it's not on the top of my "What needs to be done now" list.

Maybe i should visit some themed sites in the genre to come up with something. That was a good idea :)

OMG I Love constructive criticism.. if i show it to my family and friends everyone of them would be like "that looks good".

Exactly what I meant :). It so happens I'm working on a new site (to use with a method from here on BHW) and soon as I have the config set up I hope to find some themes suitable for the site, something that will appeal to my target market...

I totally agree with that... I can show sites to my family and friends and they will say it is ok, but then I'd be wondering why click-through rates are low, bounce rates are high and conversions are non-existent... Family and friends are ok for boosting your self esteem but constructive criticism is better, sure you might feel slightly stink but if they're not abusing you and giving you a barrage of profanities then they are helping you to succeed and move forward.

One thing I will not tolerate is people giving criticism with one liners like "site too crappy" or "don't like it at all", and people that just go all out and abuse you. I like constructive criticism as it normally has lot of substance behind it, it is not too ambiguous, and it is something that you will learn from.

Looks pretty good to me. I only have one thing. Below your logo I would change the last bit to 'scarily cheap prices' .... when I first read 'scary cheap prices' I thought of 'scary prices' (meaning expensive). But maybe it's just me.

Looks excellent since you made the changes listed above :)

^THANKS

i'm going to work on the logo later, footer and finish adding products

Not just you, when i showed it to my brother he said the same thing.

Not bad, but in terms of SEO it needs fixing up. If your asking about the layout / idea then it seems pretty solid. It still says "Just another Wordpress Site" though as part 1 of plenty of SEO to do :p

Looks pretty good, but VHS? People still buy those? :p

Also, I'm viewing it at 1920x1080 and the background picture doesn't fit properly. It doesn't go all the way to the right.

You really need some graphic design/ web design aid.

What is constructive about your comment?

Except for the "rough edges" (formatting and such)

It looks pretty good. Finish it out and postback :)
I did not check the seo but I do have a question.
Where might you "check your target audience" for colors and such? Do mean look at the designs of the sites of the currently popular websites?

I agree with 75INZ with the addition of there is a character hiding behind the main window and that distracts the eye too. Otherwise pretty good. HTH :)

One thing I would do is make all the links that move away to the merchant target="_blank"

People might want to carry on browsing and may get lost...
