Probably not.
Happened to a few people.
Although, I do wonder how many people sell accounts then claim this.
The way to tell is to contact Instagram though, not us.
Let us know what happens.

If you have the original email you can get the account back. Just report it as stolen and tell them what you told us.

i have the original email and i have the hacker email but he changed the handle so i can't find the account to report it
yes it worth the account have 10k followers and it's big loss for me

contact them and tell them the incident tell them that you have the old account it is simple i think

As @KraftyKyle said just tell them that you have the account created on this email, the hacker changed the handle but tell them to check it for the original email you created it!

All you need is the original email. It doesn't matter if you can't find what they changed it to.

Do this ASAP: login to your email. You should find an email by IG saying "your email address was changed... etc.", with a link. Click on that link, the email change will be reverted. You can now reset your password using your email.
