Well, it is important. Vendors do care about conversion rate, even though Clickbank does not share these stats. If you want to attract top affiliates you have to share your conversion stats. If top affiliate sees that my product converts 1 in 2000, he will never start promoting my product. I mean go with the following situation, since most of the vendors share their stats...you have one vendor showing stats that his product sells 1 in 2000, 3000 and another one that his product sells in 1 in 80,100. Which product are you going to be more interested in promoting?

Well, I always see a lot of vendors saying averaging $1 per click in the CB market place, and after checking their product page I was like that's impossible, since CB is notorious for keeping all sorts of dishonest products in their market place, I always consider their claim of conversion rate a way to trick people to promote their products. I guess a lot of vendors are actually giving out the real stats, right? Anyway I always prefer high gravity products, since a lot of other affiliates are making sales, there's no reason I cannot make money out of it too.
