Someone is threatening to nuke my discord server

I have a discord server with thousands of members, and I run my business in this discord.

Someone has threatened to "term my server" which means they will use methods to get my server deleted/nuked.

They want me to pay a monthly extortion fee or else they will ban it, I have blocked them already. But I am scared they will delete my server

What should I do? If I lose my server it will be very bad.

I mean, I wouldn’t listen to anyone threatening me for whatever reason it may be. I would rather see my server die and move to another form of communication.

I don’t know much about discord server so i can’t suggest you something concrete. If it was a normal web server, I would simply change the server ip and route through cloudflare.

I wouldn't take this seriously - just block the person and report them to Discord.

You're wasting mental energy worrying about this.

It's not worth it.

Keep growing your discord as you have been.

Try to get people from your discord onto an email list so even if in the rare scenario something does happen to your discord you still have an asset that you control and can contact people on.

Make sure you report them and send all communication to discord. Because then it'll be on record if anything does happen. Although, more likely trying to bluff scare you into paying.
