Someone is stealing my content

So I have a blog that does really well within its niche. Today while searching google I've found another site stealing my content. I'm assuming they are doing it through my rss feed.

As soon as I make a new post it shows up on theirs, no content is changed and any links I have on the post stay on the post.

What are my options, besides placing my own link on each post.

Could try to block yahoo pipes just for good measure, but I would definitely take advantage instead by working in links and anchors into posts.
 
Not much you can do if you sindicate them with an RSS feed. In other words your sending it out to the masses. Most autoblogs get their content that way.
 
You cannot do anything. Leave it.. IT happens to anyone.
 
You got a couple choices... you can send a DMCA complaint to their web host which often results in their host banning their account. It needs to be in the proper dmca format (google it).

You can also, install some analytics, determine the ip address that is being used to scrape your content (it is more than likely the ip address of his website cuz he's just using WPRobot or something to do it) just block that ip in your cpanel.

All the people saying you cant do anything about it are probably autobloggers:)
 
Actually it isn't so much that you can't do anything about it, as whether it's worth worrying about it. If you're making good content and have an rss feed then it's almost guaranteed that you're posts will end up on other autoblogs and websites.

Adding a backlink back to itself in the source articles is probably the best solution. If you do that it's very likely that google will identify you're blog as the source content and all those backlinks will actually help you're own blog rank higher in the serps.

Sometimes it's not worth trying to fight the inevitable, It can be easier to try using things like this happening to your own advantage. Either place a link in the article itself, or if you don't like how that looks then see if you can modify your rss feed to add a link to each article in the feed.

Thanks for all the replies. Guess I will just start incorporating anchor text links in each posts.

It wouldn't even really bother me, but it was ranking better than mine for certain keywords. Plus I'm writing all my content myself.
 
tynt(.com) claims if you place there code in your post they will inform you about coping and also will automatically link back to original article-though i just registered but not yet used their service so can't post review,
but you can check their service by yourself.

You can actually just set it up so it adds to the RSS feed, you don't even need to post it on your own site. Look it up on Google you can add things into your RSS feed only easily enough, so just add a box that says (from wherever) or better yet (stolen from yousitename) then not only will you have the backlink but you'll also be able to spam his site back with how they're stealing all your stuff :D
 
Look at it this way: If you had 50 bloggers syndiacting your content direct from your RSS, and you have a couple of backlinks in each post, how would you feel?
I know I would be delighted!
Perhaps you ought to positively encourage this type of syndication.
 
Insert links to 'bad places' like porn, extreme rightist or leftist sites, abortion etc, mask them with a dot or something as the anchor, wait for the post to get lifted, then remove them from your post.
 
Well it is not possible to hold anyone from stealing your contents...It happens with everyone...
 
Sht happens man. It happens to everybody. Better yet, move on and if your making profit, the continue.
