This guy just copied my whole website + content (he only changed a few words) and he is using almost the same URL - only the tld is different!
Tried to contact him, but not working. It is the first time that something happened to me (well, the first time I noticed it).

What can I do?

The only thing that you can do, from my experience, is a DMCA if the content is the same.

I've had decent success with it. If the manual review shows that they copied everything, they will be removed from google. Make sure to submit one for each page, you have 32 submits per 24 hours, so use they wisely.

Hope that it works for you, keep the thread updated, if you can.

Yep, Webmaster Tools is the way to go and report to Google. Of course, you can do a copyright report but don't expect much out of it. Also, Google _should_ notice duplicate content and ban his website anyway.

I contacted his host (hostwinds) first and they wrote me they contacted him and they will reply me asap. If he doesn't want to remove the content I will use the link above.

Hi,

may I know how you found out someone copied your whole website?

regards

Have him/her assassinated.

Never had this issue myself, but IceHD's post seems a solid bet.

DMCA complain and get him off google first, then proceed with asking him to take it down

Well, just by mistake. I wrote .net instead of .com. As I said he has the same domain, but using .net instead of .com.

What a douchebag. It took me days to write all that content and this guy just bought the same domain and download & upload my whole website.

DMCA is the way to go. Do not wait for the hosts to reply to you, do all you can simultaneously.

Have had this issue several times in the past. Unfortunately theres not much you can do about it, even reporting it to google. Because in my experience it made no difference, soon as one site was taken down all they did was rinse and repeat. In the end I got sick and tired of it. How did I know, because the dumb asses didn't even bother to remove the stats counter javascript I placed on each page. So every time they uploaded it again, I was getting hits from their new page.

Complain with DCMA and use the webmaster tools. google will remove it.

Lol this is a site for blackhat seo
Stealing sites and content seems a pretty standard thing

Complaining to the place hosting it is your best bet but I think complaining about DMCA and copyright etc is pretty hypocritical if you're here
and you probably use some questionable techniques yourself being a blackhat and all

are you the one that did it? I do not understand why you are trying to rationalize it and trying to minimize the crime by redirecting it at the OP with absolutely no proof.

I'm sure at today's competition on hosting biz, complain like this will do the job to take them off. But, what's the point of it? They'll do it again
