hello guys I have set up a WordPress site and I need it verified by Google I have searched Google on where to place Google analytics code and found that it shd be placed in the head my problem is that am using a default WordPress theme themeforest 2014 where do I place my code

You can just install a plugin for google analytics. It makes it easier.

Just go to your customize theme -> editor, and see home.php and place the code in the header. The best would be "Just install the analytics plugin, that should be fine.

if you're not familiar with coding, you could also try a plugin. just enter your Google tracking id.

there a some tools like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analyticator/

Am not that good in coding will install the analytics plugin on that point do categories work since I have heard most people saying they use excerpts
