Hello guys, I have a big problem with a guy who used my 9 months work without payment.
In january we started working together for a recruitment startup business. I was responssible for the tech part and he was responsible for the recruitment part. Like most startups, the budget was limited so I personally developed the whole business architecture, a Wordpress website, where users can apply to jobs, email followup sequences, jobs and applicantions management, all tools needed for a better conversion. I also work with a partner CPC company to setup Google and Facebook campaigns, with all pixels and goals setted up for an efficient advertising process.

After 9 months of work, the website is self suffiecient and it has all this fucking prick needs for recruiting people and make a lot of money.

In september, we needed to make all legal papers for the company and this prick call me and tells that he want to continue alone this business. I don't know what is the most frustrating thing because I feel a lot of mixed feelings bubbling up inside. We were friends you know, with friday dinners and stuff like that...

I talked to him about the website without any results and yesterday I deleted the website but the hosting company helped him and the website is still live.

What can I do to stop him to use my work? I can prove that the website is fully developed by me, I have all the materials that I used to create it, backups and stuff.

What solutions do you recommend? Black or white, I'm open for all to make this little shit to understand that he can't play with my work as he wants.

Thank you very much for your help,
Cristi

do you have access to a lawyer? Send him a letter and scare him a bit with legal action, if you have solid proof you could sue, but a legally worded letter might get him to the table to talk and sort it out. if you have proof that you were involved in it from the beginning, then you are in for redress, however i'm not a lawyer so it's best to consult one. Many do a no win no fee and offer a free first consultation.
Good luck
