I dont know how to prevent this,but after I downloaded one file which was shared on here or somewhere yesterday and put it in a different folder,now I find out that its missing.Can someone tell me how to stop this from happening to my system.How do I stop someone from deleting the contents stored in my PC.
Somebody hacked into my system&removed a download material.

Maybe you didn't have permission to copy the file to the different directory and deleted the original thinking it was duplicated elsewhere.
What OS are you running?
