Hey guys. Just looking for a little advice. Maybe someone who knows a bit about legal matters or someone who was in this situation can shed some light on this. I apologize in advance - I'm a little long winded.

Ok, so I got sent home from boot camp because I found out I was pregnant (I would have graduated this freaking Friday!!!) and my husband doesn't have a job. I'm getting unemployment, ewhoring and article writing, so we have a little bit coming in.

Well, while I was gone, our landlord's houses (he has about 10 in our community) were all lost because of foreclosure. He told the tenets not to worry about the notices that were on the door - he's just "refinancing". Everyone believed him, too. Now, 2 weeks ago an realty agent came to our door and offered us $2000 (reimbursement) and two weeks to move out or stay for 90 days and just pay rent as normal. We had to take the 2nd option since we couldn't afford the $2500 it would have taken us to move at that time.

Ok, so you know the background. Here's our scheme:

We have stainless steep appliances: stove, fridge and dishwasher. We bought the washer and dryer and when I asked about them the agent slipped and told me that just the stove and dishwasher was accounted for. So, technically we can sell the washer, dryer AND the fridge. BUT, I'm thinking about selling everything!!

I've heard a new report about people stripping the house and selling everything when getting a foreclosure. At that time, they reported that the banks were not really going after the people who did that.

I'm all for selling the stuff. But I don't want to get in trouble. My real estate agent has both my husband and my SSN# and driver's license #'s because they were on our lease.

What do you guys think?

Its a federal offense now to do that. Why? Because the house is owned by the bank and the bank is backed by the FED and doing that will get you a knock on the door by the FBI. Its a big deal here in Phoenix but they are rounding everyone up and charging them accordingly.

Damnit that pisses me off. Your situation shouldn't be happening like it is but what the hell are you gonna do. This shit is happening everywhere too.

I really wish I could tell you to sell everything and you wouldn't get in trouble but I just don't know enough about that. Personally I'd sell everything even if I get in trouble for it.

For starters yes, they are going after people for selling stuff like that; and secondly, this isn't even YOUR house...it is your landlord's house unless I'm mistaken; so the lender and the landlord can BOTH come after you for selling the appliances.

I'd throw that idea out with the bathwater!

Yea, I'm in Phoenix. I heard the story while I was in boot camp in SC. I don't know how it big of a deal it is there. Yea, a bizzybee that is very true. My landlord took 2 months worth of rent on a house that wasn't even his anymore. That pisses me off more than anything, though.

Since I know the fridge isn't accounted for my the bank, that thing is GONE. I want to sell everything so bad, but its not worth getting in a lot of trouble for.

As for what I'm trying to do. Well, I'm trying to step up my husband's and my internet hustle so we can get the heck out of AZ. He wants to go back to NY and raise the kid. Meanwhile, we are both still looking for regular jobs, too.

I wrote up some stuff and tried selling the on WF and DP. But if its not a get rich quick type of thing - I guess its not selling on either forum. I do have something up my sleeve for that, too. But I may have to do that after I get to our new place since it'll take up time that I could be doing something that I know will bring in money.

HELL NO! Once they have your social security number that's the game! They will EASILY track you down. Especially now that you are expecting and will immenently be requiring the services of a hospital, you will be easily found. Just stick to blackhatting online. ;)

PS:
Why don't you go back into the military after you have the baby? I know many military moms with stay-at-home dads. You can do IM P/T and get out when you become successful. It'll make for a really good personal stroy! ;)
