Some Scrapebox Questions

I've been using scrapebox for a couple weeks now and I have a few questions regarding how to be "successful" with this tool. I've had no problem harvesting urls, no problem filtering, I get it, it's really easy to use (huge plus) and has some serious potential. I guess my main question is - how do I bring out the potential of this tool? I post to thousands of blogs (of all platforms), spin comments, have multiple comments, multiple names, hundreds of working proxies and no backlinks found. I've pinged, even blasted a few sites that my links were found on to try to get them found...nothing. I know people have been successful with this tool, and I see some great potential I'm just having trouble finding a pattern and have seem to hit a wall. HELP!! haha

your backlink will only count if your comments are accepted by the blog owners ! so try to harvest urls related to micro niche kw .. and put comments related to only those kws ...

Only harvest blogs which have been spammed - so search for words like casino and viagra in your footprint.

Well - not those two but you get the picture.

SB is great - but its shit if you dont harvest properly - you have noted this.

Personally I disagree about only targetting blogs that have been spammed. Yes, since they've been spammed they're probably receptive to being spammed more. OTOH, their value is pretty low compared to other potential targets.

A big thing to remember is it takes *time* for blog comments to show up as and result in backlinks - no matter what you do to try to speed it up or coax them into being your little helpers lol. The SE's are notoriously slow at indexing them, goog in particular is notoriously jinky about showing or reporting backlinks, don't give up hope, just keep learning the app and applying it.

Another little tip is to try ScrapeBoxing yourself. Set up a WP site, a MT site, a Drupal site, so forth, and nail them hard with ScrapeBox. Then go in as the admin of each of those sites and put in yourself in a mod's shoes - how do the comments look? Would you approve your comments? Are things automatically getting chucked into the Spam folder?

I've both intentionally and inadvertently scrapeboxed my own blogs, and it's a very good educational experience.

That is a really good idea, of which I actually have been doing myself.

I can see the benefits of blasting out a ton of comments to blogs and hoping for a 20% - 50% acceptance rate, but I don't personally feel that is the correct way for me to go. I use ScrapeBox to find highly ranked blogs and manually post good "real" comments. My comments nearly always get accepted doing this. Yes, it takes more time... but it shows in the results. The results is all that matters.

Scrapeboxing yourself does sounds a little kinky but seems like an interesting exercise from a number of different perspectives.

@simplebeans - I don't know exactly, but SB is really resource-friendly. I know it runs on WinXP and higher versions of the OS, and the faster the internet pipe the faster your work gets done. Now if you're gonna try running 80 instances of it....but for one or a few instances of it, the specs are pretty light.

@all of my fellow pervs who are going to scrapebox themselves - rumour is it makes you go blind if you do it too much loool.
